What a reception!!! We want to thank everyone for making our first reception the very best. Webster Groves and all our patrons came out and really supported us. Bella and Lily added to help create the wonderful atmosphere of our "New Beginnings". We also want to thank our artists who helped answer people's questions about their work.

The first ever reception at Green Door art gallery will be held Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6 – 9 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Bella and Lily, who recently opened for the Go-Goes , will be performing at the reception. This is free and open to the public. Deanne Nash, our guest artist, will be exhibiting her “ Cerca Trova” , which is an Italian phrase meaning-seek and you shall find”. Her colored pencil drawings, acrylic paintings and sculpture made out of drywall are made up of many images. When viewed at various distances, the smaller images combine to create larger images. If you gaze for a few minutes, the cerca trova will reveal more as the eye adjusts to the numerous intermingled images. A St. Louis artist, Nash’s repertoire of mediums consist of pastels, charcoal, colored pencils, pen and ink, watercolor, scratchboard, clay, stone, drywall, black paper, acrylic paint.
